Clim4Vitis has a clear focus on the transfer of skills and knowledge in the topic related with the development of the climate change impacts on viticulture. Given the different existing approaches for modelling grapevines, as well as pests and diseases in vineyards, the project will create a unified approach though knowledge sharing among partners. The related activities will also benefit the S&T capacity building of other Clim4Vitis research partners.
UTAD´s R&D, and innovation capacities and skills will be complemented by the opportunities created by Clim4Vitis to establish fruitful and long-term collaborations with high performing R&D organisations focused on the same research topics, through which UTAD also aims to optimise the technology and knowledge transfer potential of the project.
Increasing reputation, attractiveness and networking channels are pre-conditions to UTAD´s enhanced national and international recognition and its strategic role to be adopted in the field. Such recognition and strategic role will generate further scientific and innovation cooperation opportunities that will ensure the long-term sustainability, as well as science and technology quality of UTAD. Clim4Vitis foresees activities which aim to augment the visibility of UTAD and of Clim4Vitis, and allow networking.
