The webinar “Challenges to decision making in vitiviniculture in the face of climate change – perspective” will take place on December 10, between 3 pm and 5 pm sector in search of solutions”, organized under the INFRAVINI project Adapting to climate change is one of the biggest challenges for the wine sector. Each wine-growing region has unique characteristics (terroir), making it essential to know the different contexts and understand their interaction with the regional and local climate – essential information to identify and prioritize adaptation strategies at different time and space scales. Therefore, the quality and timeliness of the information available is a key factor in decision-making, since it enhances competitiveness and sustainability, based on solid scientific bases. In order to contribute to this process, the INFRAVINI project aims to develop an innovative and highly applicable decision support platform for the wine sector in Duriense.

Clim4Vitis project coordinator and Professor at the Physics Department of UTAD, Dr. João Santos, and Dr. Aureliano Malheiro (also from UTAD/CITAB) will take part in the event. Dr. Santos will be the moderator of the Discussion Panel whereas Dr. Malheiro will be the speaker for the Introduction session.
