Climate change impact mitigation for European viticulture

Clim4Vitis´s main objective is to strengthen and raise UTAD´s – and more specifically its research group CITAB´s – science and technology (S&T) capacity and performance in two main specific fields of research in viticulture & climate:
• Grapevine modelling;
• Methods and tools for assessing climate change impacts on European viticulture, in general, and on grapevine productivity, quality attributes and risk of diseases and pests in particular.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
Clim4Vitis´ main objective will be achieved through the following specific objectives:
• Transfer knowledge and implement capacity building for the enhancement of S&T capacity
• Lay the foundations of Clim4Vitis´ long-term sustainability
• Increase the reputation, attractiveness and networking channels of UTAD and enhance the visibility of Clim4Vitis
